Water, Water Everywhere!

With this year being the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, it came as no surprise that there were several underwater parties to attend.  My favorite party, being Vintage Vivant‘s An Underwater Party of Titalnic Proportions!  I think everyone was excited for this theme, because orders started rolling in months ahead…

Here is a “Drowned Socialite” wig that I created for Alicia Andrews

My favorite aquatic- themed costume of the evening was Drea DiPrete’s purple and leopard print octopus…

That fantastic headpiece is a Madame Reverie original and is at the shop and available for purchase!

There were, of course, a sea of mermaids.  Shari’s version was a little dark, which I liked.

My costume had little to do with the Titanic theme, and more to do with a general nod to the “high seas.”

I blame my pirate obsession on the Pirate Wedding that I had been asked to help style.  I costumed the lovely bride; my favorite element being this hat that I custom made for her:

Complete with tiny pirate ship!

The lovely Drew; part bride, part pirate wench.

I also styled a couple of my favorite dancers; Ellen Stader and Debra McAdoo-Schultz, so they could go go dance at the reception.Craftbox Agency’s Celeste Quesada outdid herself on the planning of this party.  I’m eagerly awaiting photos to appear on her blog!
